WALK FOR

 A BLOKE

WHAT IS WALK FOR A BLOKE

Previously known as Nicks Walk, Walk for a Bloke is a unique event for blokes to come together and walk 25 kms to raise awareness and funds for bloke’s mental health.

It's a real opportunity to connect with old and new mates while supporting bloke’s mental health. You can register as an individual, a team or as a company.

Check out the Walk for a Bloke leaderboard here:

We surveyed 500+ blokes who participated in Walk for a Bloke:

92.1%

said they would like to see the event remain blokes only.

97.4%

said they would look to bring additional blokes on the next walk.

I was surprised at how valuable it was for it to be a “mens only” space. Although clearly mental fitness is obviously not gender specific, I noticed the willingness for the guys on my walk to be more open and vulnerable with each other and connected over subjects that were relevant to “men’s business”.

FAQs

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

We started Spoke to a Bloke after losing our brother and best mate to suicide. As a team, we work on the charity weekends and after hours, we are passionate about making a real impact.

100% of funds raised goes directly to running the charity, our events and projects to support blokes mental health.

WHY DOES THE WALK FINISH AT HOTELS, PUBS AND CLUBS?

The feedback we have had is blokes wanted to get together and celebrate the completion of the walk. The finish venue is capped at 3 hours and gives blokes the opportunity to continue conversations they started on the walk.

We are aware that alcohol can be a contributing factor to blokes having poor mental health and struggles. We do not promote drinking as part of the event. We do respect each blokes right to choose. At each venue we provide a catered lunch and make both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available.

HOST A WALK

We are looking for people who would like to host a Walk for a Bloke event. It can be small with 10 walkers through to a major event with 100+ walkers. You will have our full support on how to organise and run a successful event. Please register your interest below and we look forward to talking soon.

The Spoke to a Bloke walk is a fantastic way to meet new and like-minded people and have open conversations about things we don't discuss enough. I recommended it to anyone."
