Walk for a Bloke - Walk Leader Expressions of Interest

We're growing and we're looking for more leaders in these locations:

Sydney, Melbourne, Shepparton and Darwin

And if you're keen and have a new location in mind, we'd love to hear from you too!

Thanks for putting your hand up to lead a Walk for a Bloke in your community. We're looking for people who are passionate about men’s mental health, can carry the brand, pull a crew, and commit to seeing it through. Hosting a walk is a big lift - these questions are designed to help us understand what you'd bring and to be upfront about what's involved.

Should take about 10 minutes if you've already given it a bit of thought. There's a 60-second video request at the end. Don't stress about polish - we're looking for you, not a showreel.

Applications close 30 June 2026. We'll be in touch within two weeks from that date.

Where can you lead a walk?

Do you have a co-leader in mind?
Realistically, how many hours a week can you put into this between August and walk day?

Any answer is fine, please just be honest. There's a Tier 2 (Walk Anywhere) option for people whose lives are full this year.

Holiday, big work project, life event. Doesn't disqualify you - we just want to know now rather than in February.

Who would you actually tap to spread the word and drive registrations? Names of organisations are great.

Have you got a 25km route in mind?

We'll finalise it together using the Footpath app. Just want to know how much you've thought about it.

Even rough is fine. We'll handle permits but rely on your local knowledge to point us at the right people.

Final commitment check

Tick each to confirm you understand and agree.

Video brief

Last bit, and it's the one that matters most. Record a 60-second video introducing yourself. Don't stress about polish - we're looking for warmth, energy, and a sense of who you are. Filmed vertically, minimal background noise.

Cover these four things, in this order:

  • Hi, I'm [name] and I want to host Walk for a Bloke in [location].

  • My why - in one sentence, why this matters to you.

  • Who's in your corner - your co-leader and the first few people you'd tap.

  • What you'll bring - what makes you the right person to lead this in your community.

Important: please don't reference specific methods, places, or stories of suicide attempts or deaths. We're a safe-messaging org and any video that doesn't follow Mindframe principles can't be progressed.

File upload (required) - accept video formats up to 200MB
