Walk leaders

Jarrod and Chris

Jarrod

Walk Leader, Auckland

Jarrod is passionate about helping men live their best lives. Real connection with other men is an essential part of that which is why he has got behind Walk for a Bloke. In 2024 Jarrod started Morning Meetup as a place for men to gather every 4 weeks in Mission Bay for a walk, a coffee and a chat. Jarrod's also a father of 4 boys and is working to raise them into good men.

Chris

Walk Leader, Auckland

Chris is a professional strength and conditioning coach who believes true strength starts from the inside out. Through his work, he's helped men build not just muscle but confidence, discipline, and mental resilience. Supporting Walk for a Bloke is a natural extension of that - bringing men together to move, talk, and look after their mental health.

After the walk

Lunch is available at the finish venue after the walk. It's not included in your ticket, but it's a good reason to stick around.

Family and supporters are welcome to meet you at the finish line and join the celebrations. You don't need to complete the full distance. The point is showing up.

Can't finish? That's fine. Let a volunteer know and exit the course at any point.

What to bring

At least 1L of water: a small backpack or camel pack works well
Sunscreen and a hat
Comfortable, worn-in walking shoes. Do not wear new shoes on the day
Light snacks for the trail
